Genital warts

Smooth skin-coloured or white cauliflower-like lumps. These growths can appear on their own or in groups. They are not usually painful but may occasionally itch.

Genital herpes

Small, fluid-filled blisters that typically burst within 1-2 days leaving small, red sores which can be very painful. Some people feel tingling, itching or sensitivity 1-2 days before ulcers appear. After the first episode, outbreaks usually last 5-7 days.

Molluscum contagiosum

Little clusters of small, shiny bumps that are typically smooth and firm. These are not usually painful or itchy.

Scabies

Severe itchiness and a pimple-like rash that is worse at night. Occurs all over, but most commonly starts between the fingers.

Pearly penile papules

Small, white or flesh-coloured lumps that usually go all the way around the head of the penis. They typically stay the same to the age of about 40 when they may begin to disappear. These are normal, are not sexually transmitted and don’t require treatment.
